Fewer Hits Still Spells Win For Pryor Against Charging Wildcats

Charging Wildcats's bats were strong against Pryor on Monday, but it wasn't enough as Charging Wildcats fell 10-7.

Charging Wildcats collected 11 hits and Pryor had ten in the high-scoring affair.

Charging Wildcats fired up the offense in the first inning, when Alex Cauley doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Pryor pulled away for good with eight runs in the third inning. In the third Burroughs singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, Trent Bunting induced Rober to hit into a fielder's choice, but two runs scored, Harrison doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs, and Miller singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.

Collins was the winning pitcher for Pryor. He surrendered seven runs on nine hits over four innings, striking out three. Erwin threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Bunting took the loss for Charging Wildcats. He surrendered nine runs on seven hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking one.

Charging Wildcats scattered 11 hits in the game. Ben Morris, Dezmond Cordova, John Henry Maloch, and Julian Gonzalez all managed multiple hits for Charging Wildcats. Gonzalez, Maloch, Cordova, and Morris each collected two hits to lead Charging Wildcats.

Pryor racked up ten hits. Erwin, Harrison, Sizemore, and Mitchell all managed multiple hits for Pryor.
