CONWAY SHUTOUTS CHARGING WILDCATS

Charging Wildcats fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 10-0 loss to Conway on Thursday.

Conway took the lead on a groundout in the first inning.

The Charging Wildcats struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Conway, giving up ten runs.

Conway opened up scoring in the first inning. Jordan Wicks grounded out, scoring one run.

A single by Julian Gonzalez in the sixth inning was a positive for Charging Wildcats.

Wicks led the Conway to victory on the pitcher's mound. He allowed two hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out eight and walking one.

Trent Bunting took the loss for Charging Wildcats. He allowed six hits and five runs over two and a third innings, striking out three and walking one.

Weston Mcghee and Gonzalez each collected one hit to lead Charging Wildcats.

Conway tallied 15 hits. Parker Gavazzi, Matt Lloyd, Cade White, Wicks, and Clay Tollett each managed multiple hits for Conway. Gavazzi went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead Conway in hits.

Conway didn't commit a single error in the field. Jack Stroth had the most chances in the field with eight.
