On Thursday, June 15, the North Little Rock School Board approved Scott Jennings, 47, as the new principal of North Little Rock High School.

Jennings is currently the principal of Beebe High School and is a former principal of Cabot Junior High. In his 24 years in education, Jennings has taught science and history and coached football and track.

Jennings' background provides notable strengths in both instructional leadership and integration of community resources within the school setting. In 2013, he was named AAIM Administrator of the Year.

Jennings has been married to Vikki for 19 years, and the couple has two sons, both of whom will attend NLRHS.

Following his selection, Jennings remarked, “I'm very excited about the opportunity to serve as the NLRHS principal. Everyone I have met in NLR through this process has been wonderful! I can't wait to get started serving the students, staff, and community of North Little Rock.“
